It was a first night at the Santiago Bernabéu yesterday. Real Madrid began the defence of the European title they won last season by winning the first game of this new 2024/25 Champions League.
A match in which both Kylian Mbappé and Endrick, the two Madrid signings this summer, made their debut in the Champions League with the white shirt and both did so with a goal, undoubtedly an unforgettable debut. The Frenchman scored the first goal that opened the scoring, while the Brazilian made it 3-1 and also set a new record.
With that goal, Endrick became the youngest player to score a goal in the top European competition in the history of Real Madrid, surpassing Raúl who held the record until now.
Endrick scored Madrid’s third goal against Stuttgart at 18 years and 58 days, while Raúl did so at 18 years and 113 days. The young Brazilian also overtook his compatriots Rodrygo and Vinicius, who scored their first Champions League goal at 18 years and 301 days, and 19 years and 152 days respectively.
In his first games as a Real Madrid player, Endrick has made a good entrance into the team and has already won over the fans thanks to his self-confidence and the two goals he has scored. The first one in the white shirt was scored in the League match against Valladolid, also coming off the bench.
