Ghost in the Shell is an original work created by the Japanese author Masamune Shirow who proposes a cyberpunk scenario in the middle of the 21st century where a police force is dedicated to preventing crimes related to politics, terrorism and cyber criminals. The main character is Major Motoko Kusanagi, who is a cyborg who had an accident when she was little and now her body is full of prosthetics.
