Genoa – Reopens tomorrow, Saturday 16 July, the ironworks tunnel, the Taviani gallery, which connects Val Fontanabuona and Val Bisagno (Genoa). The reopening is scheduled in both directions from 5.30 to 21.30 while it will remain closed for works at night until February 2023. The tunnel was closed on 21 February last and, initially, it was to remain closed for 40 days. The interventions, an extraordinary structural maintenance work no longer postponable for 20 million euros by Anas under the supervision of the Metropolitan City of Genoa, lasted longer.
The schedule was updated in a June meeting and this time the deadlines were respected. The traffic stop in the Taviani tunnel has put the many commercial activities in crisis especially on the Tigullio side, so much so that the Genoa Chamber of Commerce intervened to ask for refreshments for the affected activities. With the reopening, the 715 line of the Amt public transport will also return to regular transit times.
