Four earthquakes occurred in Georgia on Sunday, June 16. Their epicenters were in the Racha-Lechkhumi region, the National Seismic Monitoring Center reports on its website.
As noted, the first earthquake was recorded by specialists in the first half of the day, 9 kilometers from the city of Oni. The second incident occurred two hours later, 10 kilometers from Oni, the magnitude was 4.7.
Some time later, the third and fourth earthquakes with magnitudes 4.4 and 3.3 occurred 7 and 12 kilometers from the city. No casualties or damage were reported.
It was previously reported that on the night of Sunday, July 16, two earthquakes occurred in the south of Sakhalin. The first of them was magnitude 4.1. In particular, tremors with a magnitude of up to four were felt by residents in the villages of Ogonki, Taranai and in the regional center of Aniva.
Previously, a powerful earthquake occurred in the waters of Lake Baikal. Its magnitude at the epicenter was 6.0.
