The leader of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, avoided this Thursday going deeper into what the president of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, will say in his appearance in the Valencian Parliament regarding the management of DANA and its effects, but he has reaffirmed “in what was said” on the last day and he stressed: “I think he is going to make a good appearance.”
This is how he spoke, to questions from journalists in A Coruña, before participating in the ceremony for the LXVI Fernández Latorre Prize, a day after appealing to be “attentive” to Mazón’s appearance and stating that “there will be a lot of people who feel partially comforted.”
“We will have to wait for what President Mazón says, which is what is appropriate. What I said yesterday is what I said yesterday. I have no news. I think he is going to make a good appearance and I reiterate again that it is an appearance that he requested weeks ago because he wants to give explanations to his people, to the Valencian community,” he stated.
In this regard, he has emphasized that, from his point of view, this decision “honors” Mazón, since, he has countered, “there are politicians in Spain who when there are problems simply leave and there are others who refuse to appear in the elections.” Courteous”.
In Feijóo’s opinion, that given the situation in which the entire community is and especially the area most affected by DANA, the president of Valencia has made this decision “proves that he wants to give explanations, that he wants to tell people what happened and he wants to commit to his people.” “We will see the content and scope of that appearance,” he concluded.
