He had booked an apartment with a breathtaking sea view and exclusive access to the beach: the only shame was that it was a poster.
Thus, a German influencer’s dream vacation quickly turned into a nightmare. The scam was reported in a video posted on TikTok and quickly went viral on social media.

Sonny Loops, this is the name of the 28-year-old influencer, had booked an exclusive apartment on Airbnb that, according to the descriptions and photos, was supposed to have spectacular access to the sea, on the fabulous beaches of the island of Sylt, in Germany.
None of this in reality: the owner of the house, in fact, thought it a good idea to put a poster behind the window in order to deceive anyone who had seen the photos on the short-term rental platform.
And it doesn’t end there: the apartment, in fact, in addition to not having any direct access to the sea, was located in a basement. “We were totally deceived” wrote the influencer, understandably disappointed and angry.
