DIHAD will attract more than 6,000 visitors from more than 84 countries, from global non-profit organizations. This year’s session comes under the theme “SDG 17: Partnerships to Achieve the Goals”, which was chosen based on the Sustainable Development Goals, which are a global call to action to end poverty, protect societies and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.
The history of strong relations between the United Nations and the United Arab Emirates dates back to 1971, through a joint humanitarian journey that drew its lines with close cooperation that spanned decades. 31 United Nations agencies work hand in hand with the UAE, including the World Food Program, UNESCO, UNRWA and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
