Ghana celebrated its National Day at Expo 2020 Dubai, yesterday, with a performance accompanied by traditional dances to celebrate the global contributions of the country. The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana, who was received by His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Commissioner-General of Expo 2020 Dubai.
His Excellency President Nana Akufo-Addo said: “Our participation in (Expo 2020 Dubai) is a great opportunity. Because we are a nation that enjoys undoubtedly attractive opportunities, and we are one of the few countries that have been able to maintain its growth during the Corona pandemic.”
His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan said: “Through our participation, Ghana offers us the opportunity to experience its living culture. Its position stands out as a business center, as it showcases a wide range of areas open for investment.” His Excellency expressed his pride in the long-term friendship relationship that brings us together with Ghana, looking forward to exploring new areas of cooperation and exchanging experiences for the benefit and well-being of our two peoples. Nana Basic, one of Ghana’s most prominent young poets, presented a piece entitled “Visions from the Heart”, which dealt with the unique story of Ghana and the country’s cultural diversity, during the celebration held at Al Wasl Square at Expo 2020 Dubai.
A trade and investment forum entitled “Ghana is Open for Business” will be held at the Business Connect Center at Expo 2020 Dubai on Wednesday, to showcase the opportunities offered by Ghana.
