One of the central themes at the Munich weekend was the dispute over the budget cap. The paddock is in fact divided between some teams that are inclined to increase the current spending ceiling to cope with inflation close to 7% and the teams that instead appear inclined not to put their hands on the financial regulations during the current season. The economic aspect goes hand in hand with the technical one, since the possibility of developing single-seaters goes hand in hand with the residual margin compared to the spending limit.
The double win in Barcelona and Monte Carlo saw significant progress in the evolution of the cars, especially on the occasion of the Spanish stage. In Catalonia, in fact, almost all of the teams have introduced updates, with a particular mention for McLaren and Aston Martin, authors of quite extensive evolutionary packages. The usual report of the new components introduced by each team since the start of the season follows, including only the updates, to be distinguished with respect to the aerodynamic adaptations of the cars to the characteristics of the individual tracks, the latter reported exclusively on the occasion of the debut race.
