Patients with coronary infection are treated at the emergency hospital. Herttoniemi Reserve Hospital was opened on January 10 due to the deteriorating coronavirus situation.

There are currently 29 patients in the emergency hospital.

The emergency hospital has one ward that can accommodate 50 patients.

“While the epidemic has improved in many ways, it is not over yet. At the emergency hospital, we are also able to treat some of the patients in other municipalities in Uusimaa, ”says Pikkarainen.

The emergency hospital employs employees of both the City of Helsinki and the Helsinki and Uusimaa Hospital District (Hus).

HS closely monitored the operations of the Herttoniemi emergency hospital for several days at the beginning of February.
