Competing in his territory, the American golfer Daniel Berger achieved a second card of 65 strokes (-5) on Friday and rose to the sole leadership of the PGA Tour Honda Classic tournament.
Berger, who is chasing the fifth PGA title of his career, will start the decisive weekend as the leader in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, just 10 kilometers from his native Jupiter.

“My game is in a great spot, so I feel comfortable,” Berger said. “You have to go shot by shot and be patient because it’s a very challenging golf course.”
The fight for the title of the Honda Classic
The American Kurt Kitayama dropped from first to second place by signing 69 strokes in the second round. Both Kitayama and his compatriot Chris Kirk are within three shots of Berger.
The first Latin American in the table is the Argentine Martin Contini, located in 12th place, eight strokes from the head.
Camilo Villegas had a day to forget
For his part, the Colombian Camilo Villegas was left out of the cut after delivering the worst card of all his participation in PGA Tour tournaments: 83 strokes (+12).
He surpassed the 82 he had done on the third day of the 2012 Memorial Tournament, although it should be noted that the Muirfield Village course, where that tournament was played, is par 72.

It should be remembered that Villegas had a round of 85 shots in the 2007 Masters, but that tournament, although it counts for the PGA Tour, is not organized by the circuit, but by the Augusta National Golf Club.
Villegas bids farewell to the tournament in which he was champion in 2010 after making a tour of 74 impacts on Thursday.
