Exceeding the speed limit without realizing it can happen to anyone. Speeding at over 200 km/h, 216 to be precise, on a road with a speed limit of 90 km/h, it is evidently a conscious choice. And this is what happened in recent days on the Aurelia bis in Villanova d’Albenga: the protagonist of the story was a man, a Piedmontese entrepreneur, who while driving a supercar was “caught” by the Highway Police during checks dedicated to “black mark” traffic while he was travelling at full speed.
Crazy speed: license revoked
As mentioned, on that stretch of road the maximum speed limit permitted is 90 km/h: the man’s driving license was immediately withdrawn. A case of violation of the Highway Code that can be defined as sporadic with regard to the extent to which the rules were disregarded, but certainly the episodes of failure to observe the behavior to be followed while driving are not isolated: just think that in total in these days of super traffic I mean in Liguria nine licenses were withdrawn and 58 violations were contested for a total of 197 points deducted on the driving licences of offenders.
Rain of infringements
Not only that: they must also be counted two vehicles seized and five subjected to administrative detention. “Among the checks carried out were also those related to the safety of passengers and the regularity of transport with two confirmed cases – we read on Ansa – Particular attention was also paid to checking the safety of passengers and the regularity of transport, which led to the discovery of two cases of chauffeur-driven rental service activities without the necessary authorisations“.
