The conference promoted on the occasion of the 2024 Assembly of Federchimica Assobiotec, Tuesday 25 June from 11.30 to 13.00, in Rome, at the Auditorium della Tecnica of Confindustria is dedicated to ‘Competitiveness, the crux of research, the role of business’ , viale dell’Astronomia, 30. The works will focus on two things: the role of the private sector in supporting the progress of research and the challenges of contemporary society in accompanying scientific evolution.
Biotechnology – according to the recent Manifesto ‘Building the future with nature: Boosting Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing in the Eu’, published in March by the European Commission – can help the European Union “to modernize the primary sector and industry, to promote circularity and to be more competitive and resilient, to provide better healthcare to our citizens and to achieve the goal of the green transition”.
During the conference, data from the survey conducted by Youtrend on biotechnology in the imagination of Italians will be presented. The event will also be the setting for the assignment of the Assobiotec Award, a recognition given to personalities and/or entities that have particularly distinguished themselves in the promotion of innovation, scientific research and technological transfer.
