Less than a week after meeting with the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), president Luiz Inácio da Silva visited Rio de Janeiro this Tuesday, 6, and made a commitment to another ally of former president Jair Bolsonaro, the governor of Rio de Janeiro, Cláudio Castro (PL), with investments in the State.
“I doubt that a president invested more in Rio de Janeiro than I invested from 2003 to 2010. We are going to invest more than any other president invested. We have already invested in Petrobras and we are going to go back to making platforms, making ships, making probes. Let’s invest again,” said Lula.
Alongside PP politicians and Castro's allies, the president was moved when talking about the delivery of 832 homes in a housing complex in Magé (RJ) this morning. In a speech with a social appeal, Lula said that it is necessary to “take care of the poor”.
“I don’t want to govern. I want to take care of people who need to be taken care of. Those who need the government are the most humble people in this country, who are only remembered during elections. To take care of the poor, we do not govern with our heads. To take care of the poor, we govern with our hearts”, stated Lula.
The president announced his intention to facilitate the implementation of federal education institutes in the state by 2026, when his third term ends.
“By 2026, Magé will have a Federal Institute (of education). We’re going to do one here, in Belford Roxo, São Gonçalo, Teresópolis and one in Complexo do Alemão,” she said.
