The Board of Directors of Aenor has formalized the appointment of David de Pastors as new general director of Conformity Assessment. He will report directly to the CEO of the certifier, Rafael García Meiro, who proposed his appointment.
De Pastors will be responsible for a large part of Aenor’s business, taking charge of the activities included in the group’s processes that evaluate conformity: certification, verification, inspection and testing. This area It represents 80% of the company’s turnover.
García Meiro highlighted of the new general director that “this promotion not only recognizes the strong commitment and solid contribution of value that David has been developing to Aenor for six years; above all, it expresses the confidence of the Board in his ability to project the conformity assessment business, in line with the ambitious growth that we have been developing since we began the transformation of the company.
The newly appointed manager thanked the trust placed in him and reaffirmed his belief in “the unique contribution of value that Aenor makes to companies and society in general, which grows both in volume and in the power of the solutions that we make available to organizations. We have the team and the capabilities to play a leading role in an economy where trust is an increasingly decisive factor in the decisions of companies and consumers,” he exclaimed.
De Pastors joined Aenor in 2018, actively participating in the company’s transformation process, leading it from various positions, defining its strategy and identifying objectives in each year. In these years he has been director of Finance and Management Control, of Strategy and Corporate Development and of the Conformity Assessment Business Unit; also managing the Certifica Chamber. Previously, he worked as a consultant at IBM and PwC, founded his own professional services company and was Director of Organization, Finance and Systems at Grupo Cuñado.
Professor of business strategy at the EOI and in the MBA at ICEX, he has a degree in Economic Sciences, an MBA from the EOI, PDG from IESE and has completed the Executive Program at Stanford.
