Sunken in the lawsuit concerning the violation of the peace of mind of the car ferry Estonia, a new verdict will be given today in the district court of Gothenburg, Sweden.
The district court already had time last year to acquit the two accused Swedish men. However, the Court of Appeal considered that the district court did not interpret the law correctly when making the decision, which is why the case was returned to the district court again.
The charge concerns Swedish men who were part of the group filming the documentary series about the sinking of Estonia. They filmed with a diving robot in the fall of 2019.
The car ferry Estonia, which was on its way from Tallinn to Stockholm, sank in September 1994. 852 people died in the accident.
