The Spanish Troop and Marinery Association (ATME) has denounced the existence of bellows of scabies among the troops deployed in the DANA and require the Ministry of Defense to give explanations.
As explained in a statement, the ministry directed , they consider that this situation “cannot, nor should” be without clarifying.
Specifically, they state that several soldiers were treated by military health in Valencia but, without being diagnosed “at any time” of this disease, however, when returning to their cities of origin and going to their civil doctors they have been diagnosed with scabies.
Health protocols fail
“The severity of the facts makes ATME wonder how the health protocols in this type of operations can fail, where you are in contact with animals in rot or infected, mites and clothing that could be infected,” they affect.
Given this situation, from the Military Association they will raise the relevant questions to the Ministry of Defense, as well as the deputies of the Defense Commission, so that this type of information comes to light.
“The military profession is a very high risk profession, although it seems that you do not want to recognize, it is necessary that society know that its military play life and health while performing their functions,” they conclude.
