A couple from Malaysia set the Internet on fire when they appeared with footage of their traditional wedding rituals, amid knee-high water, due to the floods, while their faces were wide smiles.
Several videos of the unique wedding ceremony of the newlyweds were shared a few days ago, and the first video clip garnered more than 8 million views, with many Internet users encouraging the couple to go ahead with their wedding despite the floods, and many praised their true “happiness” that was stronger than conditions.
According to the “Smart Local” website, the bride, Sophia Nabila Suleiman, stated that they planned a wedding in a host house that accommodates about 200 of their close friends and families, but unfortunately, the rain continued unabated after they set up the platform and tents, and the water reached the knee in the afternoon , and to the waist by evening.
The couple ended up canceling the reception because most of their guests couldn’t make it to the wedding reception venue at home.
But they insisted on bringing food and a photographer, and the couple took off their shoes and took part in posing for pictures in the murky flood waters.
