The data for Friday 3 December. Rezza: There is a tendency for a gradual increase in infections, but not explosive. A year ago, on 3 December 2020, the record of deaths was recorded in Italy: 993 victims. Admissions: +87. Intensive care: +10
I am 17,030
the new cases of coronavirus in Italy (yesterday there were 16,806, here the bulletin). It goes up like this at least 5,077,445
the number of people who have contracted the SARS-CoV-2 virus (including recovered and died) since the outbreak began. THE deaths today I’m 74
(yesterday they were 72), for a total of 134,077 victims from February 2020.
We remember that December 3, 2020, exactly one year ago, was the triest day of the pandemic: there were 993 deaths in Italy due to the virus, the highest figure recorded so far in the bulletin, since the beginning of the emergency.
People recovered or discharged they are altogether 4,727,214 And 9,658 those that came out of the Covid nightmare today (yesterday 7,650). The positive current – the subjects who have the virus – turn out to be in all 216.154, equal to +7.283 compared to yesterday (+9.088 the day before).
The swabs and the scenario
THE total swabs (molecular and antigenic) were 588.445, or 91,017 less than yesterday when there were 679,462. While the rate of positivity 2.9% (the approximation of 2.89%); yesterday it was 2.5%. Here is the map of the contagion in Italy.
More infections in 24 hours than yesterday. The trend remains on the rise and can be seen from the comparison with last Friday (November 26) – the same day of the week – when they were recorded +13,686 cases with a rate of 2.4%: today, in fact, there are more new infections than that day, with a higher percentage (2.9% versus 2.4%).
According to the weekly monitoring of the ISS-Ministry of Health, the incidence rises to 155 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants (it was 125 per 100 thousand the week before), while the average Rt index calculated on symptomatic cases drops slightly to 1.20 (it was 1.23), while remaining above the epidemic threshold.
The picture is quite clear, there is a tendency for a gradual increase in the number of cases, not explosive. We also see it from the aggregate data that arrive every day – explains the director general of Prevention of the Ministry of Health, Gianni Rezza, commenting on the weekly report -. This increase is recorded under the age of 20 and between the ages of 30 and 50, especially where there are pockets of unvaccinated people.
The Veneto has more than 3,000 new infections: to be precise, the cases with a 3.2% rate calculated on 98,000 swabs are +3,116. Follows the Lombardy: +2,809 cases, thanks to almost 125,000 analyzes, which is the highest number of regional tests of the day, with a rate of 2.2% (here the bulletin). Above one thousand are then: Emilia Romagna (+1.633 cases with 4.5% rate), Lazio (+1.493 cases with 3.4% rate), Campania (+1.327 cases with 4.1% rate) e Piedmont (+1.189 cases with 2% rate, here the bulletin).
