On October 29, Amazon Prime exclusively premiered the series Maradona: Blessed dream that recounts the life of the great legend in soccer history, Diego Armando Maradona. The series has raised all kinds of comments both positive and negative, with the hardest coming from Bernd Schuster.
The former German player has not bit his tongue when rating the series and through his Instagram account published a message in which, among other things, he accuses the series and Amazon of lying:
“I end the Maradona series. I have reached chapter 5 or 6 and I do not continue anymore.
Diego is far from what they want to portray in the series. Diego enjoyed soccer.
And whoever knows me knows perfectly well that I was the first to train and the last to go. And at night I never went out. They should meet the people before recreating the characters. The only real thing in the series is the great friendship and complicity that Diego and I had. And the casting of my character leaves me speechless. “
Schuster and Maradona shared a dressing room at FC Barcelona during the two seasons that the Argentine star played for the Spanish team (1982-1984) and there they struck up a great friendship that, as Schuster says in his post, is the only real thing in the series.
