Forecasters recorded the warmest day in Moscow since the beginning of August
The day of August 6 in the capital region became the warmest since the beginning of the month. This was reported in Telegram– channel, the chief specialist of Meteonovosti, Tatyana Pozdnyakova, reported.
At VDNKh, the average daily air temperature was 0.4 degrees above normal, and the maximum temperature reached 24.7 degrees. In the Moscow region, Kolomna was the warmest, with 26.5 degrees during the day.
At the same time, on Monday, August 6, three administrative districts of the capital experienced heavy rainfall. The heaviest precipitation fell on the 24th kilometer of the Moscow Ring Road (23.9 millimeters) and on Kashirskoye Highway (14.1 millimeters). There was no rain in the area of the VDNKh weather station. According to the weather forecaster, summer precipitation is characterized by locality in its distribution across the territory.
Earlier it became known that the Moscow districts of Brateevo and Maryino had been flooded by rains. A video recording published by eyewitnesses shows that two streets near a pond in Brateevo were flooded. A grassy area near the water also turned into a pond. Parked cars ended up in the water. A car and a vehicle are moving along the road, cutting through the water.
