On Monday, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced heavy human and equipment losses that it said were inflicted on the Ukrainian army during the past 24 hours.
The ministry said, in its daily report on the situation on the battle fronts, that “about 1,775 Ukrainian soldiers were killed during the last 24 hours, as Russian forces continue to improve their positions on various axes,” according to what was reported by the “Russia Today” website.
The report stated that “units of the Northern Forces Group improved their position along the front line in Kharkiv, and the Ukrainian army’s losses amounted to about 300 soldiers.”
The ministry added, “Units from the West Forces Group took control of more suitable locations and struck Ukrainian formations in Lugansk,” stressing that units from the “South” Forces Group improved their position along the front line in Donetsk, and two ammunition depots were destroyed.
The daily report stated that concentrations of Ukrainian forces and military equipment were struck in 110 regions and 12 Ukrainian drones were shot down within 24 hours.
