The US Central Command (Centcom) announced that its personnel had transferred 1,005 tons of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip through the temporary pier on the coast of the Strip since it began operation. Centcom stated, in a statement on its page on the “X” social networking site yesterday evening, that members of the US Central Command are continuing to deliver aid to the people of Gaza through the temporary sea pier in cooperation with the US Agency for International Development and the United Nations. The statement added that the humanitarian aid that was delivered by Centcom personnel from the sea to the beach transfer point amounted to 184 tons, with a total of 1,005 tons since the start of operation of the temporary pier, explaining that the total aid that was distributed from the beach transfer point to the United Nations warehouse amounted to 903. Tons until last Friday.
The US administration has repeatedly stressed its desire to bring more humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, but the Israeli occupation has continued to obstruct the arrival of aid to the population facing the risk of famine, according to the United Nations.
