Former US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland called Kharkov a Russian city
Former Deputy Head of the US State Department Victoria Nuland, who left this post in the spring, called Kharkov a Russian city. The ex-diplomat, who was actively involved in counteracting Russia in the Ukrainian direction, gave interview ABC News.
Nuland’s words suggest that she has confused Ukraine with Russia. Among other things, the ex-Deputy Secretary of State accused Moscow of escalating the conflict with “attacks on the second Russian city of Kharkov, which is not on the front line.”
In addition, she said that she would consider it “fair” if the US leadership allowed Kyiv to attack those Russian bases from which they “launch missiles or supply supplies to the army.”
Earlier in May, Nuland said that Ukraine was not yet ready for negotiations with Russia.
