Ali Maali (Dubai)
Mali Moussa Marega succeeded in scoring his second “double” since joining the Sharjah Club team this season, as he scored two goals out of three that his team won over Bani Yas (3-2) in the postponed match of the 19th round, raising his tally of goals to (7), and he previously scored two goals against Khor Fakkan in the 11th round, which ended with the King’s victory (4-1).
The number of goals scored by Marija against Al Samawi became (3) this season in the ADNOC Professional League, as he had previously scored a goal from the five he previously won in the first round.
The goals of the financial top scorer may have come too late, especially since “The King” moved away from the top of the league, and Marega did not provide what was expected of him this season, especially since there are many voices within the club that have been calling for some time to search for an alternative and a strong striker who can lead an attack. The team wanted to score against the opponents and compete for the top, not occupying sixth place with 34 points.
The “second” double that Marega scored with Al Sharjah is not the first in his professional career. Rather, he previously did it when he played with Al Hilal Saudi Arabia, in the 2021-2022 season, and with Porto in Portugal in the 2019-2020 season, and with Vitoria Guimarães in Portugal also in the 2016-2017 season, and with French club Amiens 2013-2014.
Although Marija was chosen as “the best” in the ranks of Sharjah in the last match by the “King” fans, by 55%, compared to 26% for Salem Saleh, 10% for Bosnian Pjanic and 9% for Caio Lucas, question marks remain surrounding what Mali provided to the team this season.
