The Beautiful Lightwith their songs 'Silly Girl', 'In Life', 'Thirst for Love', among others, it has managed to place itself on the radar of the artistic environment and has rubbed shoulders with other great groups, such as Corazón Serrano and Son Tentación. The musical group led by Oscar Custodio is just shy of three decades of creation and they promise to offer an unforgettable show. However, the recent departure of Milagros Díaz to join Corazón Serrano has left a wound due to the way in which he decided to say goodbye to the orchestra. Furthermore, the owner, who maintains a close friendship with Christian Cueva, did not hesitate to give his opinion about the footballer.
In dialogue with La República, Oscar Custodio He also tells how he started La Bella Luz and why he decided to abandon his university career and then dedicate himself to his other passion: music. In addition, he tells his secrets and reveals some projects of the group that he leads.

—Don Óscar, a pleasure. Where was he born and what is his full name?
—My name is Óscar Custodio Chavesta. I am a native of Callanca, Monsefú, Chiclayo.
—You studied in San Marcos. Tell me about this step in your life.
—In my school days I always liked music. He practiced it empirically, but I came to Lima to become a professional. I entered three universities: San Marcos, Cantuta and Callao. I studied pure mathematics.
—At what point did you decide to abandon your career and dedicate yourself to the group?
—I didn't finish the race. I lived alone in Lima, so I had to study and work. I was a teacher in pre-university academies, but something abrupt and eventful happened. In 1992, one of the academies was intervened due to political problems and 17 teachers were arrested, including me. There was a process, a trial, and I was acquitted. They arrested me because they called the academy fujiterrorists. I was (imprisoned) for about two years, but they found no evidence, I was acquitted; but when I leave, I am practically unemployed. There I joined my brothers, who were still making music in Chiclayo. I brought them to Lima and we made the La Bella Luz orchestra, which was initially called 'Facucha'.
—It is an emblematic group that is about to turn 30 years old and in which renowned figures, such as César Vega, have participated. How does it feel to know that you discover those kinds of special talents?
—We feel special. Quite a few singers have passed through (the orchestra) and we have trained many of them, and they have all turned out in the best way. What's more, on our anniversary we are going to invite many of the former singers who are now successful.

—Talking about talents. How did you take the departure of Milagros Díaz? She said in an interview that they were left sad.
—We were sad and at the same time disappointed. I want to be emphatic with the ways in which a member's departure should occur. Her departure has not been common. We have taken it as an ambush.
—Ambush by Corazón Serrano? She now belongs to that group..
-Exact. And I want many people to know that it has not been a normal outing, because we and the gentlemen know (owners of Corazón Serrano) that, when a singer emigrates to another group, she always gives her some time. I always say that it is good to give yourself some time so as not to harm the group to which you still belong. We have trained it for years, it has been a lot of work, but its departure has been in a bad way, and I want it to serve as a precedent, both for singers and orchestra owners: you cannot act in a dishonest way, harming the other.
—How long has it been since you spoke with her and then Corazón Serrano announced her as his new singer?
—We arrived on the 29th (January) at around 5:00 pm from Chiclayo and at 9:00 pm he was already resigning. He went to my house, we talked. I realized from the first minute that this was cheap. We talked and, when he told me (about Corazón Serrano), I told him not to worry about that. After talking, she decides to stay with us. She started crying and told me that she was staying.
After an hour or hour and a half, when he got home, he informed me that he was leaving, and the next day he was already in the media. I hope that this type of thing does not happen again for the sake of cumbia, it does a lot of damage to cumbia. We must act in a healthy way. There is competition, yes, but suddenly money has made the gentlemen dizzy. Just because you have more money, you have no right to do this kind of thing.
—At a certain moment, a video of Christian Cueva singing 'Niña foolish' goes viral. Could you say that thanks to Cueva they also managed to gain more notoriety?
—Of course yes, I must admit that yes. That song was already in first place on many radio stations, but sometimes that does not ensure success, sometimes this type of support is necessary. I am grateful to him, because he dared to sing with us and it went viral. But that's how things are, when one acts in good faith, things happen that way.

—Are you a friend of Christian Cueva?
-Yeah. We have spoken many times, he is a gentleman, a good person. The truth is I know him, his parents, his wife. I'm very sorry for what happened to you.
—About Pamela Franco, did you ever realize anything?
—I have shared many times with him. Even on private sites, but I haven't seen anything. Although, in the football environment and ours (artistic), there are many things that you suddenly fail to highlight, because (at first) it is not well known, but each one has their own theme.
—What would you say to Christian Cueva as a friend?
—I think he is going to have to reflect on his family, because I know his family. I hope Christian turns out in the best way for the sake of his family. I wish him well.
—Have you already thought about what that concert for 30 years is going to be like? Will there be guests?
—In October we will turn 30 years old and we are planning to do a concert. We did the last one completely free, suddenly we are going to do it the same way, with some guest artists. I have met with Briela Cirilo (former singer of Corazón Serrano). The song is already recorded. All that's left is for her to raise her voice. We have talked a lot.
—A final message…
—Very grateful to the public. The truth is, who decides that a group advances is the public. We all owe ourselves to them and we have to be transparent with them, and be honest. Thanks to all the public for the moment that La Bella Luz has been having.
