In 2017, Cuphead reached the market, captivating the public in a very special way. Since then, we have seen an animated series, various collectible figures, and more products that make clear the popularity of this franchise. However, with the release of the DLC just a few weeks away, Studio MDHRthe developers, they are ready to leave this chapter of their life in the past, and move forward into the future.
In a recent interview with WCCFTech, Maja Moldenhauer, Studio Director, Executive Producer and Featured Inking Artist, noted that Studio MDHR is already working on a new project away from the world of Cuphead. This is what he commented on it:
“We don’t want to announce anything too soon, but we’re not going anywhere. She has dropped a couple of hints though: We’re staying in animation for sure, but don’t be surprised if you see us in different genres.”
However, at the moment there are no clear details about this project. It seems that the characteristic visual style that has represented so much to Cuphead will not be forgottenbut the studio is ready to move on and explore new terrain when it comes to gameplay.
About The Delicious Last Course, Moldenhauer has mentioned that this game will last between four and five hours. Along with this, it has been pointed out that we will see five large bosses during this DLC. The producer has not revealed all the secrets, since there are only a few days left for this content to finally be available.
The Delicious Last Course Coming to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on June 30, 2022. In related topics, here you can see more gameplay about this game. Similarly, there is already a date for the second season of The Cuphead Show.
Editor’s note:
This is a similar feeling to what we saw when Yacht Club Games finally ended support for Shovel Knight. Although Studio MDHR is likely to pick up the world of Cuphead in the future, for now, we will have something completely new, and that is always interesting to see.
