As part of the elections that will be registered this Sunday, June 2, Karen Quiroga Anguiano, candidate of the “Va por la CDMX” coalition for the Iztapalapa mayor’s officefrom Mexico City, came to cast his citizen vote.
Before noon, the candidate for the most populated district of the Mexican capital appeared at the booth in section 1972, located on Río Casas Grandes Street, without number, in the Real del Moral Fractionation.
“We are living a historic moment, a democratic party; I am sure that seeing all the people here formed, each one will make the decision that they believe is best for the country and its future,” declared the candidate.
Karen Quiroga accuses vote buying in Iztapalapa
During her visit to the polls, the candidate accused that she witnessed an alleged act of illegality during the current election day: buying and selling of votes.
“I was lined up to vote in box 1972, adjacent to 1, when I realized that Sodelba Alavez and another person were buying the vote,” she announced at the same time that she turned the case over to the National Electoral Institute, the City Electoral Institute. of Mexico (IECM) and to the Secretariat of Citizen Security.
According to Karen Quiroga, those responsible for the alleged sale of votes were two women who had posed as election observers.
