After the passenger car plants in Zwickau and Emden, the Group’s headquarters in Wolfsburg will also Volkswagen will become a factory dedicated to the production of electric vehicles. For this reason, the German company has decided to start a retraining process to train the employees currently employed on site: according to the group, this is an epochal transformation not only from a technical and specialist point of view but also from an emotional and psychological point of view, reason for which a “eMotionRoom” which in the coming months will welcome 22,000 employees, who will be able to enjoy a fun and interactive experience in which they will learn the secrets and details of the conversion from the production of internal combustion vehicles to that of electric vehicles.

In particular, the “eMotionRoom” developed by the German group boasts three rooms with a complex design, in each of which the employees have to solve various puzzles and problems within 20 minutes: the challenge begins with a journey back in time to the 19th century, when the first electric motors were invented, the second room traces the history from the Wolfsburg headquarters up to the present day involving the production of thermal vehicles, the third room instead offers a glimpse into the digital future of mobility. Like the classic “escape room”, each team of four people will have to solve puzzles to open the door and exit each room: each group will be guided by two instructors from the Group Academy via video link. The new “eMotionRoom” will be in use until at least the end of 2024.
