This Tuesday, the 8th, the Volkswagen disclosed the global results to investors. The brand showed a recovery in 2023 to 4.87 million cars.
The number represents an increase of 6.7% compared to the 4.56 million cars sold in 2022. The volume sold in the previous year was affected by problems in the supply chain, influenced by the pandemic and the war in Ukraine.

In relation to fully electric models, Volks recorded an increase of 21.1%, to 394 thousand units.
For Imelda Labbé, member of the Volkswagen Sales, Marketing and After-Sales Board: “the sales figures show that we are on the right path as a brand and that our cars are well received by our customers. We expect the market environment to remain challenging in 2024. But with our revised and attractive product portfolio, we are in the right position.”
