Vaccinations | Monkeypox vaccination is offered in Helsinki’s Jätkäsaari and Kalasatama

Vaccinations for people in risk groups will start tomorrow, Tuesday.

MonkeypoxN we will start offering vaccination by appointment at the Jätkäsaari vaccination point in Helsinki and at Hivpoint in Kalasatama. Anyone over the age of 18 can get the vaccine, who are at the highest risk of contracting monkeypox.

Monkeypox is an infectious disease caused by a virus. Infections have been found especially in men who have sex with men.

Risk groups include men who use HIV preventive or prep medication and men waiting for prep treatment who have sex with men and HIV-infected men who have sex with men and who have had several sexual partners in the past six months.

In addition, the risk group includes men who have had several male sex partners in the past six months and at least one of the following: group sex, a diagnosed venereal disease, visiting domestic or foreign places where there was sex between men or participating in domestic or foreign events where there was sex between men.

You can get the vaccine with your ID starting tomorrow, October 11.

Jynneos is used as a vaccine. Vaccinations are free of charge.

The vaccination appointment can be booked by phone at 09 310 46300 (Jätkäsaari) or online at hivpoint.fi (Kalasatama).
