The National Police have arrested three people for intentionally running over two peopleamong them a young woman who was trapped between two vehicles and has suffered serious injuries for which she has been partially amputated leg.
As reported by this armed force, the detainees are two men and a woman, all accused of a hit-and-run in which seriously injured a young woman
The event took place in the early morning of January 1 in the vicinity of Avenida América in Granada capital when the victims they returned to their home after having celebrated the New Year’s Eve.
The agents patrolling the area arrived at the scene minutes after the accident and observed the collision of two vehicles that left two young people conscious and trappedthe man between a vehicle and a hedge and the woman between the two vehicles involved. Firefighters and medical personnel traveled to the point of the accident, freeing the two victims and transferring them to a hospital center.
According to the investigation data, the origin of the accident would have been in a minor dispute what had just happened between the three detainees and a group of four people, among whom were the two victims.
Furthermore, those involved had had no previous problems and simply they knew each other by sight for having the same nationality of origin and frequenting places with a Latin atmosphere.
After that discussion, one of the detainees got into his car accompanied by the other two arrested people, started the march, circulated in prohibited address at high speed and violently impacted the vehicle of the opposing group. Two of the members of the opposing group and some pedestrians managed to dodge the vehicle but the two injured could not avoid the blow.
After the collision, the three alleged perpetrators fled on foot, although the two men were arrested in the area and the woman, hours later, and at her home.
The detainees have been brought to justice accused of crimes of attempted murderfailure to provide assistance and reckless driving, while the injured woman, who has partially lost a leg, remains hospitalized.
