Los Mochis, Sinaloa.- As a sign of respect, struggle and sisterhood, this Tuesday, March 8 the Women’s mural was inaugurated which was painted on the wall of SNTE 53 located on Cuauhtémoc Street, almost on the corner of Allende, in the city of Los Mochis.
This work looks 14 meters long and 2.5 meters high and was created by Guillermo Guerrero Loaiza who worked for approximately 5 weeks.
During the inaugural act, it was given after a march that took place through the streets of the Central sector in commemoration of the International Women’s Day and led by Mayor Gerardo Vargas Landeros together with officials, officials and other members of civil society.
Magladalena Rocha Peña, Secretary for Women in the Municipality of Ahome, pointed out that eradicating gender violence is the greatest urgency and task that the state has pending with women.
Meanwhile, the mayor from Ahome again congratulated the women and invited them to continue fighting together with society in order to create that environment of equality and respect that is so much loved.
For his part, the painter Guillermo Guerrero highlighted the commitment that the mayor of Ahome has with women and culture, since it is not the first mural that is made in the municipality.
It is worth mentioning that on December 10, 2021, the Non-Violence Against Women mural was inaugurated.

The professor and muralist called on society to take care of this type of work, which represents today’s woman, who is free and is already in all areas.
