The Russian ministry stated that the “Perazlumnoye” field is the first offshore field in the Arctic in which commercial oil is produced in Russia, according to “Russia Today” channel.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak had said at the end of December that Russia would be able to produce no less than 490-500 million tons of oil in 2023.
Novak added, in statements to the official “TASS” news agency, that Russia will produce such quantities even in light of the new oil embargo imposed by the European Union on the fifth of December, and after a similar measure regarding oil products that comes into force on the fifth of February.
The European Union countries have announced the imposition of a ceiling on the price of Russian oil transported by sea at $ 60 a barrel.
