“Russia and the United States, having reached this bottom in their relationship, will take that point as a starting point to rush to a new page,” said Sergei Ryabkov.
He added: “Russia is counting on the non-interruption of dialogue with the United States regarding strategic stability, despite Washington’s decision to suspend consultations.”
The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister stressed that what is happening is the result of the West’s policy in Ukraine and all the weapons it provided to Kiev over the years, and that Ukraine’s insane injection of weapons is a reflection of Western policy in the manner of “all means are good.”
He pointed out that Moscow warned the West against further escalation of tensions with it.
The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister said: “The Russian military operation will end according to the plan that was set for it, achieving its goals.”
For her part, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said: “Russia tried to prevent the current development of events, but the West preferred not to notice this, and today it forgets its responsibilities, but it cannot pretend that it is not involved in what is happening.”
“Everything that is happening is presented as a long-awaited Russian act. However, it is a forced situation and Russia has pushed into it,” Zakharova added.
She pointed out: “We reached this situation after exhausting all possibilities for negotiations, settlements, clarifications and interpretations. This is what the world must understand.”
