The National Court orders prison for two people detained in Seville for jihadist propaganda

The National Court has ordered this Thursday the provisional imprisonment of the three detained in Seville and Ceuta in two Civil Guard operations, accused of being in possession of a “huge amount of multimedia files of DAESH terrorist propaganda.”

As reported by the Civil Guard, those investigated had files in which the figure of jihadist fighters stood out, as well as documents related to martyrdom operations, integration into terrorist groups and the manufacture of explosives.

The one from Ceuta had already been arrested and convicted years ago as the author of a crime of recruitment and terrorist indoctrination, and was later arrested again in May 2021 for the proselytizing and terrorist indoctrination work he carried out on inmates during his stay in prison.

Specifically, he was under supervised release, “although it has been proven that he continued to carry out jihadist activities in the virtual sphere, managing numerous profiles on social networks and encrypted instant messaging applications.”

According to the Civil Guard, he was in possession of a huge amount of jihadist multimedia material from the terrorist organization DAESH, suitable for jihadist self-training and incitement to commit terrorist attacks, among which were the latest speeches of the official spokesperson of the aforementioned terrorist organization.

Simultaneously, two other people who were in an “advanced process of jihadist radicalization” were arrested in Seville.

One of them made profuse use of their social networks, sharing postulates and publications praising the figure of terrorist organizations. Likewise, he was in possession of official multimedia material of the terrorist organization DAESH.

The detainees were handed over this Thursday to the Central Investigative Court number 1 of the National Court, which has ordered the three to be placed in provisional prison.

Last October, let us remember, the Central Juvenile Court of the National Court sentenced the 17-year-old boy who prepared explosives in his home in Montellano (Seville) to four and a half years of closed confinement to commit a jihadist attack. also imposing the obligation to submit to a deradicalization plan.
