The Ministry of Industry and Trade denied the release of official recommendations to the regions, which spoke about the possibility of receiving visitors to shopping centers, catering and the service sector using a QR code during non-working days in November. It is reported by RIA News with reference to the press service of the department.
“Recommendations for the regions were really developed, but in the end they were not approved, it was decided not to issue them. A working version of the document appeared in the media, which was never sent to the regions, ”the Ministry of Industry and Trade explained.
Earlier, the media, citing a letter from the regional government signed by the head of the department Denis Manturov, reported that the Ministry of Industry and Trade advised Russian regions on non-working days to allow admission to non-grocery stores and public catering using QR codes. At the same time, food courts can be taken away.
All organizations that will serve Russians, subject to the presentation of a QR code, must ensure the identification of citizens by an identity document. The regions need to discuss the proposed measures with the business on their own.
On October 20, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on non-working days from October 30 to November 7 with salary retention. The heads of the Russian regions can introduce additional days off with the same salary until October 30, as well as after November 7. During this period, grocery stores will continue to operate.
