Imola is preparing for F1
There is great anticipation for the return of Formula 1 Imola. Over 200 thousand people are expected in the stands of the Santerno circuit to embrace the Circus again two years after the last time, considering the flood that canceled the 2023 edition.
For the occasion, the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari has had a new look: the circuit has raised its level of difficulty, and for the pilots there won’t be much margin for error. In fact, the gravel exiting the Gresini, previously known as the Variante Alta, has been added: if Charles Leclerc made a mistake at this point, as happened in 2022, it would be more difficult for him to gain the track again.
The other changes
In these images taken from above and taken last March you can appreciate the changes in Imola compared to the last Grand Prix organized in F1: you can also see how the asphalt section has been reduced to the Piratella and removed from the Acque Minerali
The Grand Prix which will take place on May 19th will finally be important both because Ferrari will bring the first updates to the SF-24 and because it will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the death of Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger.
