The Court of First Instance and Instruction number 1 of Linares (Jaen) has ordered this Sunday the entry into provisional prisoncommunicated and without bail of the man accused of killing his partner’s two-year-old son and injuring his twin brother last Thursday.
to this man the crimes are charged of murder, two of child abuse, a crime of abuse in the field of gender violence, a crime of abuse and habitual violence and a crime of threats, as reported by the Superior Court of Justice of Andalusia (TSJA).
During his court appearance, the detainee has taken advantage of his constitutional right to not declare. The Junta de Andalucía has assumed temporary guardianship of Jeray, the twin brother of Cristian, the murdered child who was buried this Thursday in Linares.
This Friday, the Family and Women’s Care Unit (UFAM) of the Police took a statement from Cristian’s mother as victim of gender violence.
The woman, who has three other children from another marriage, two of whom had custody removed, was a user of municipal social services several years ago, although attendance ended up declining. Cristian is the ninth victim of vicarious violence so far this year in Spain and number 62 since records began, in 2013.
