The Government delegate asks Mazón to focus on what is important “for decency”: “We all know what we did on the 29th”

The Government delegate in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé, has urged to “focus on what is important” and “not waste time looking for excuses to defend oneself” and “seek sterile and unfounded debates.” “Everyone here knows what we did on the 29th,” he assured this Sunday in statements to the media.

“I make an appeal, I really do it, from the pain that goes to the municipalities every day to talk to the neighbors, and I ask the highest political leaders, also in this Community, that we focus on what is important “, said the Government delegate after the Cecopi meeting.

Bernabé responded this way when asked about Mazón’s statements. The president of the Generalitat Valenciana has denied that on October 29, DANA day, the Cecopi, of which he has insisted that he “is not a part”, was waiting for him to make decisions because, he has stressed, “the institutional presence of the ‘ president’ is not necessary to make the decisions that were validly being taken in the technical body based on the information that was provided.”

Mazón has demanded an end to “hoaxes, lies and manipulation”, after recent versions on the matter from the Ministry of Ecological Transition, the Military Emergency Unit (UME) and the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet). Barnabas has insisted that “time cannot be wasted” in “looking for excuses to defend oneself and seeking sterile and unfounded debates.” “There will be time for that,” he stressed, while defending that “now” they are not “in that phase.”

The Government delegate has stressed that “we must focus on finishing removing the mud from the streets, helping people to reopen their businesses, helping citizens to be able to buy in supermarkets again, trying return to normality in the cities that are asking us for help every day.”

“We cannot focus on that if we are distracted, if they are distracted by looking for defenses and excuses in traffic and time,” he reproached, and criticized that “it is not acceptable.” “It is a matter of responsibility, but also a matter of decency,” he considered.

Thus, Barnabas has demanded: “Let us focus.” “The Government of Spain assures you that it is very focused and we are not going to deviate. “Whoever wants to deviate should deviate,” he concluded.
