Recently, the Sinaloan tenor Alonso Sicairos-León went on stage Nezahualcóyotl Room of the University Cultural Center, in Mexico City, to interpret the emblematic themes of Cri-CriNext to the Philharmonic Orchestra of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (OFUNAM).
The success of the two presentations was resounding, and now the singer wants to replicate said show with different orchestras in the country, seeking to embrace the nostalgia of adults who grew up with Francisco Gavilondo Soler’s songs and promote values in children.

Sicairos-León He confessed that he felt anticipation and nerves about this show, however the enormous wave of applause simply surprised him. “The arrangements were great and the room collapsed with applause,” he said about the program ‘Of letters, witches and mice: 90 years dreaming with Cri-Cri, which sold out the tickets in two hours.

Thus, the one born in Culiacán shares that he is in talks with several venues, with the possibility of going on a tour the rest of the year; and he extends the invitation so that other institutions can hold the show and hopes that Culiacán will join the list.
The tenor shares that it would be interesting to continue stimulating the family atmosphere with a show like this. “If you look in the current panorama there is no music for children, right now they watch reggaeton just like everyone else and that is a terrible thing, because it does not stimulate anything, reggaeton is graphic and it is also not for children. On the other hand, Cri-Cri “It stimulated imagination, curiosity, and play.”
Besides, Alonso Sicairos-León will present on July 17 the show about Agustin Lara in it Forest Cultural Center, also in Mexico City; while she will soon be part of the world premiere of an opera, based on the life of a Chicana activist, and of which she cannot yet delve into more details.
