TV|The host of popular health and science shows reportedly went missing on a vacation on Wednesday.
British TV reporter Michael Mosley has disappeared in Greece, says the British Broadcasting Company BBC. Mosley, known for his health-related programs, was on vacation on the island of Symi, which is located near Rhodes.
His searches have so far yielded no results. Mosley had been on the beach with his wife on Wednesday and had gone for a walk alone in the central parts of the island. The wife had called for help when the man was not heard back.
The terrain of the island is rocky, and the area where Mosley is believed to have moved has been described as dangerous to move around. Interviewed by the BBC, the mayor of Symi suspects that Mosley may have fallen into the sea. The weather on the island has been extremely hot, and the temperature has risen to 40 degrees.
Michael Mosley has studied to be a doctor and hosted several popular BBC science programs, which have also been shown on Yle channels in the Prisma series. He has introduced, among other things, the 5:2 diet, where five days a week you eat the normal amount of calories and two days only a quarter of the normal amount.
Recently, Mosley has also discussed the importance of sleep and aging in his programs.
