Skiing the World Cup-sponsored retail chain Coop has fought against Russian involvement.

The Norwegian Coop announced that it would change the colors of its logo on the number plates of the competition suit before the next World Cup, which will be competed in Drammen and Oslo. Aftenposten, for example, says this.

The logos will be made blue-yellow according to the colors of Ukraine, so if the Russian team intends to participate, its athletes will also have to wear the colors of the Ukrainian flag. Coop’s logo, for example, was large on the chest at the Salpausselä Games.

“We have to do our best. It would make no sense if we removed our logo and left only a white background. We hope this is enough to prevent the Russians from participating, ”said Coop’s director of responsibility in Norway Bjørn Takle Friis.

Finland, Sweden and Norway demanded that Russia leave the International Ski Federation (FIS) on Monday, but the federation itself has disagreed and allowed Russia to stay in the Games. The General Sponsor has also made its position clear towards FIS.

“We have made it clear what we believe. They must respond immediately. Out of sympathy and solidarity with Ukraine, we cannot accept that Russia is competing in the World Cup. ”
