That is why from now on some famous casserole fans will pass through here. Our first guest is the singer, starlette and queen of the underworld Samantha Hudson. We already saw her cook in the sixth season of Master Chef Celebrity, and now he has come to dazzle us with his own dish: his delicious false pulled pork, inspired by the vegan restaurant Green Rosemary and in which the pig is replaced by jack fruit. SAMANTHA HUDSON’S VEGETARIAN BURGER
Ingredients
For 2 sandwiches
- 1 can of canned green jackfruit (about 250g)
- 500 ml of vegetable broth
- 1/2 sweet onion
- Soy sauce
- liquid smoke sauce
- Paprika
- Cumin
- garlic powder
- Oregano
- Pickles
- 2 brioche buns
vegan cream cheese
- 2 or 3 tablespoons of cashew cream
- 2 teaspoons nutritional yeast
- 1/2 lemon
- Salt
pickled onion
- 1 red onion
- 1 spoon of sugar
- 1 jalapeño or fresh red chilli
- Apple vinager
Preparation
- Put in a frying pan jack fruit with the broth. Cook over medium heat until jackfruit is soft.
- Meanwhile, cut the red onion and chilli into julienne strips and put them in a pot with the sugar. Add a generous splash of vinegar and cover with water.
- Mix the cream cheese with the lemon juice, the nutritional yeast and a little salt. Mix and add tablespoons of the broth in which the jackfruit is being cooked, until you get a thick cream.
- When the jack fruit is soft, put it on top of a colander with a bowl underneath so that it drains well. Transfer it to another pan with a little oil. Chop the onion and sauté it in the pan next to the jack fruitcrushing it with a spoon so that it frays.
- Add a teaspoon of paprika, another of cumin, another of garlic powder and another of oregano. Moisten with a good splash of soy sauce and a little smoke sauce. Stir and sauté a couple of minutes more until everything binds.
- Cut the pickles into slices and the rolls in half. Spread both sides with cream cheese. Put the jack fruit on top of one of them and finish with pickled onion and sliced gherkins. Cover and serve.
