The Salone del Camper is preparing to welcome a luxury guest: on Tuesday 13 September, the event underway in the pavilions of the Parma Fair will welcome Ralf Schumacher, the former Formula 1 driver and brother of the 7-time world champion Michael Schumacher. The former F1 driver, who raced in the most famous single-seater competition, will be present at the Emilian Show to present “his camper”, the Schumacher Edition by Robeta.
The luxury van was developed by the company in collaboration with the former Formula 1 driver and boasts an elegant gray and anthracite interior with fine wood finishes. Ralf Schumacher, besides being a great fan of the world of motorhomes, is a wine connoisseur. At the end of the inauguration, a rosé from the Slovenian Collio that bears his name will be uncorked to celebrate with visitors. The interest of a famous person like Schumacher in the world of motorhomes demonstrates how the traveling holiday is becoming more and more trendy, because it can be informal and simple, but also sophisticated and refined.
Ralf Schumacher’s van is 7.36 meters long and weighs 4.1 tonnes and is powered by a 190 hp two-liter diesel engine, coupled with a nine-speed automatic transmission. It can be ordered with rear or all-wheel drive. In the kitchen there is an induction hob, a large fridge with separate freezer, a microwave and even a dishwasher. There are also individually adjustable shelves and beautiful details such as a spice cabinet hidden behind the refrigerator. Above the group of pull-out seats is the suspended bed, which automatically lowers at the push of a button. The slatted frame extends up to 1.75 meters wide by 2.10 meters long. It is possible to control all the functions of the camper thanks to a touchscreen display that also guarantees Bluetooth connectivity.
