Fujairah (Union)
Sheikh Saleh bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Department of Industry and Economy in Fujairah, received the Board of Directors of the Fujairah Chess and Culture Club, and the delegation included Mohammed Abdullah Al Zaabi, Vice President of the club and a number of members, on the occasion of the club’s winning the honor of organizing the World Championship for solving chess issues, and the meeting of the International Congress next year. The club’s players won trophies and titles at the local and international levels.
Sheikh Saleh bin Mohammed Al Sharqi was briefed on the club’s achievements, and stressed the importance of preserving and enhancing them in a manner that befits the position occupied by the UAE in all fields, including in the sports field. He also blessed the club’s victory in the Cup of His Highness the President of the State, and its third place in the World Championship for ranked under 2000 points.
