Near Magadan, the court sentenced the shift workers who blew up the bear to suspended sentences
In the Magadan region, a court sentenced two mine workers who blew up a bear to six and five years of suspended imprisonment. Lenta.ru was informed about this by the press service of the regional department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The shift workers were found guilty under articles of theft and illegal transportation of explosives and explosive devices, committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, using their official position. They were also given fines of 20 and 10 thousand rubles.
As the regional prosecutor's office explained to Lente.ru, in May 2022, in the Olsky district, a brown bear appeared at the gold mining site of the Nyavlenga mine, and the workers decided to get rid of the animal. To do this, they stole explosives from the employer and brutally dealt with the bear: first they fed it and then blew it up. They watched the process from the side and also filmed what was happening on camera. The incident became known after the video went viral on the Internet.
Earlier it was reported that an unknown person shot a dog near a Russian kindergarten.
