The peacekeeping contingent was stationed along the contact line and the Lachin corridor, consisting of 1,960 military personnel, 90 armored vehicles, 380 units of automobile and special equipment and was supposed to remain there for five years, until 2025.
At the end of December 2023, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan made accusations against Russia about non-compliance with the agreements on Nagorno-Karabakh. He suggested that the Foreign Ministry re-read the tripartite statement and look at the situation in which the population of the region found themselves.
