Prime minister Sanna Marin (sd) commented on Friday the President of the United States Joe Biden last night’s talk that Biden and officials were considering what would be a diplomatic way out of the war in Ukraine.

“The way out of the conflict is for Russia to leave Ukraine,” Marin said as he arrived for discussions at an informal EU summit on Friday.

According to Biden, the consideration is what is Vladimir Putin way out.

“Where does he find a way out? Where will he find himself after not only losing his face but also much of his power?” Biden pondered at a Democratic fundraiser in New York.

Marin’s response to Biden immediately sparked a lot of international interest on Twitter. For example, Yle’s EU correspondent Rikhard Husun an English-language tweet on the subject had already been shared thousands of times in the afternoon.

The Ukrainian parliament’s Twitter account also shared the video on Friday afternoon.

Biden warned in the same speech that the world could face “the end of the world” if Putin uses tactical nuclear weapons as he has threatened.

“We haven’t had a president like this in sixty years John Kennedy’s and the Cuban Missile Crisis,” Biden said.

According to Biden, Putin is not kidding when he talks about tactical nuclear weapons or chemical and biological weapons because he is losing the war.
