Specifically, Psaki pointed out that Russia has “a leader who has used chemical weapons, who has invaded several countries in recent years and who has taken aggressive measures on the world stage.”
Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov has said that White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki’s statements on chemical weapons “are fundamentally false” and seek to “demonize Russia”.
Specifically, Antonov refers to the words that Psaki spoke this Tuesday at a press conference, in which he said that Russia is and has “a country and a leader that has used chemical weapons, that has invaded several countries in the last years, who has taken aggressive action on the world stage on many occasions.
“Let me remind you that the United States remains the only country that has not yet fulfilled its obligations under the Chemical Weapons Convention and has not eliminated its national stockpiles. The Russian Federation has completely destroyed its stocks of this type of weapon,” he remarked in a statement on the official Facebook profile of the Embassy.
In this sense, he has summoned Washington to fulfill its obligations “to free the world from chemical warfare agents.” Likewise, he has considered that the accusations of invasion of other states “are also unfounded.”
“Russia Adheres To The Principle Of ‘Non-Interference’ In The Affairs Of Foreign Countries And Strictly Follows International Law, Unlike The United States, Whose Modern History Is More Like A Chronology Of US Military Operations In Different Parts Of The World” , has said.
Antonov has referred to “the bloody experiments” of “democratization” in Yugoslavia, Iraq, Libya, Syria or Afghanistan, which have only brought “chaos, instability and loss of life”: “They are just some of the countries that have experienced the aggressiveness of US foreign policy.
